RockinBlue: My First Free, Public WordPress Theme
By
I’m thrilled to announce that I just released my first free and public WordPress theme called RockinBlue.
We’ll see how this week goes but I’m probably going to be blogging on my experience of creating the theme soon. Up until now, I’ve really only tweaked and tinkered with others’ themes. But this one’s mine.
I’d like to say a BIG thank you to Brian Gardner for his awesome help and patience.
If you’d like to see a demo of the theme, click here. [Also, at CoryMiller.com]
If you’d like to download the theme to use on your blog, click here [zip].
For support and questions about the theme, please address them here.
Update: Thanks for Shawn Wallace for his help “widgetizing” my theme. Also, check out his Worshippl.us site.

Excellent first attempt brother! I wish I could design a theme, it’s one of the best ways of getting backlinks
I’ve started a sermons series on 1 John…dunno if it would interest you or not. You can get them on the blog.
Very nice! Any plans on widgetizing your theme?
Thanks, Armen! I’ll surf over your way and check out your sermons.
Shawn, well, I have no clue how to do that, so I’ll need to learn eventually. But my answer would be: “hopefully.”
I’m really NOT a tech guy … just stumble around, make mistakes (trial and error as Gardner says) and see what works.
I love RockinBlue! It’s crisp & clean. Love the subtle grey shading in the black header, as well as the gradient shading of the right column. The blue really pops on the page, almost 3-D. I’ve downloaded it…now I’m going to search your site for how to use this on my own blog. Thanks for sharing!
