Rob Bell’s Mars Hill Church Website Gets a Simple, Unique Makeover
Posted by: | CommentsWow … Mars Hill Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan … where Rob Bell is pastor … definitely has an out-of-the-box church website design. [It's fairly new, by the way.]
I expect this kind of unique design from something associated with Bell.
It’s minimalistic, very clean … and beautiful, in my opinion.
But I don’t think most churches could pull it off … to me, it resembles all I know about the church. It’s part of their DNA and represents them well.
What are your thoughts on the design?

Blogging Tip: Adam’s 4 Rules for Blogging
Posted by: | CommentsAdam McLane has some super advice for bloggers based on three-plus years of blogging … they were especially relevant to me and I thought I’d share his four rules for blogging:
Rule 1 – “Don’t ever write something you wouldn’t want your mother to read.”
Rule 2 – “Opinions are like … bellybuttons … everyone has one.”
Rule 3 – “Don’t throw gasoline on a fire.”
Rule 4 — “Beware of Trolls, learn to love Lurkers.”

Churches would benefit greatly from answering these question in their communications — both inside and DEFINITELY outside the church.
But in my own experience, I know we naturally “assume” that everyone automatically knows “where” the annual men’s banquet will be held (yes, fellowship hall, I know) … and sometimes even “when.” Read More→
