Start Making Your Plans for MinistryCOM 2007 in Nashville Sept. 13-14

By Cory Miller

As far as I’m concerned MinistryCOM is THE church communications and marketing conference … although I confess, I’ve never been.

BUT … this is my number conference priority this year and I am going!

Terrell Sanders of Main Street has graciously put on this conference for a couple years now. He lives and works in Edmond/OKC and also is a deacon at the church next door to where I serve. And a couple weeks ago, we got to have lunch together.

I’ll say this … Terrell’s reputation proceeds him. And it’s a great reputation. He has the respect and admiration of a lot of “pros” in the church marketing world. So I was already biased, but he’s an unassuming, humble guy who does this as a public service to churches.

Back to MinistryCOM … there’s some awesome speakers on the platform, along with some excellent breakout sessions. But the biggest thing in my opinion is networking.

So if you’re planning on going, let me know in the comments to this post! Because I haven’t been before, I really don’t know what to expect as far as time … but I’d love to have a dinner with CCP readers or just anybody that wants to meet up.

One more thing … help get the word out about MinistryCOM. Consider a link to the main site, send an email to a colleague or friend who needs to go, etc. In fact, Terrell gave me a badge, so steal the one on this post (upload to your own site though) and post it.

  1. Of all of the conferences I’ve attended, this had the highest signal to noise ratio. Fully worth the money to attend.

  2. Tim says:

    Totally there.

It’s an incredible time. Well worth the time and investment.

Where else can you get inspired to communicate the greatest Message ever told in a creative way… and have lengthly discussions on how much you hate Comic Sans?

  3. Hey Cory,

So glad to hear you’re “in.” I’ve had your site on my feeds for a while and look forward to tapping into your big brain in person.

We’ve had so much interest from the midwest that we’re loading up a few buses full of ministry marketers to join the fun at MinCOM. If you hear about anybody wanting to attend from Indiana, Ohio or Kentucky, have them check out our group package to save some cash on travel, etc.: http://www.fishhook.us/FC0207.htm#Article5.

  4. Ryan Imel says:

I’m hoping to make it there as well. I’m still in the process of convincing the administration that it’s important!

  5. Matt Singley says:

Yup! I’ll be there. Last year I brought one guy from our communications team, this year I’ll grab another as well. I wouldn’t miss it.
