Duct Tape Marketing
Posted by: | CommentsI thought I would pass along a great book to read called Duct Tape Marketing by John Jantsch. If you haven’t heard about it or read it - I do recommend it! The subtitle is “The World’s Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide” and it really is practical and can be applied to any church regardless of size. Many of the topics aren’t new ideas but the way that it is written is simple and avoids the useless hyperbole most marketing books throw at you. Grab a copy today!

Anyway, check out this promo video on the book with Brian and Terry.

At Midwestern, I heard quite a bit about the emerging church. One of my seminary profs has been blogging about it and I’m very appreciatitive of his contribution to helping me (and us) understand it better — the good, bad, and ugly.
Here’s a sample chapter download (PDF).
Zondervan, if you’re listening … I’d love to have a review copy of this book!

The Big Idea by Pastor Dave Ferguson
Posted by: | CommentsLike many other bloggers, I got my copy of blogging pastor Dave Ferguson’s new book The Big Idea: Focus the Message-multiply the Impact (The Leadership Network Innovation Series), which will debut around Feb. 1. [Thanks, Dave!]
I’m looking forward to reading the book and posting some lessons I gleaned from it … as always I welcome “free stuff” especially books like this that will help me do ministry better.
In the meantime, here is some information about the book …
