Duct Tape Marketing

Posted by: James Dalman | Comments (0)

I thought I would pass along a great book to read called Duct Tape Marketing by John Jantsch.  If you haven’t heard about it or read it -  I do recommend it!  The subtitle is “The World’s Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide” and it really is practical and can be applied to any church regardless of size.  Many of the topics aren’t new ideas but the way that it is written is simple and avoids the useless hyperbole most marketing books throw at you.  Grab a copy today!

John Piper’s Desiring God ministry is offering his excellent book Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die at a special discount ($1 a book) for churches who commit to give them away as an Easter outreach.

I own this book, have given it away to others, and highly recommend it as a guest giveaway! Read More→

blogging church book
I’m excited to eventually read The Blogging Church written by Brian Bailey and Terry Storch, but frankly, I’d really love a review copy! (Hint, hint, cough, cough: Jossey-Bass, Brian, Terry, Leadership, whoever.)

Anyway, check out this promo video on the book with Brian and Terry.

Here’s a sample chapter download (PDF).

Zondervan, if you’re listening … I’d love to have a review copy of this book! :-)

Like many other bloggers, I got my copy of blogging pastor Dave Ferguson’s new book The Big Idea: Focus the Message-multiply the Impact (The Leadership Network Innovation Series), which will debut around Feb. 1. [Thanks, Dave!]

I’m looking forward to reading the book and posting some lessons I gleaned from it … as always I welcome “free stuff” especially books like this that will help me do ministry better.

In the meantime, here is some information about the book …
