Church Redone has an interesting list titled 10 Ways to Keep Me From Discovering Your Church. They are:

  1. Don’t have a website
  2. Be completely inactive in the community
  3. Don’t answer your phone
  4. Allow misinformation
  5. Lack clear signage
  6. Have insufficient parking/seating
  7. Ignore Visitors
  8. Respond half-heartedly to inquiries
  9. Be evasive about your beliefs
  10. Lie to me

ben arment reston community church easter

I really enjoy reading Ben Arment’s History in the Making blog.

Besides his rockin cool church website (snapshot above) … here are a couple of things I saw that compelled me to post:

Crossing Community Church is almost located out our church’s backdoor in Oklahoma City. They are a dynamic church with a great eye for church communications and marketing.

I had the privilege of meeting their director of internal communications, Jennifer Ayotte, recently at what I had to be the first of many Oklahoma City Church Communications lunches. Anyway … during the meeting she mentioned the short survey they do in their new members class, or their pastor’s class.

She has given me permission to post it for you all to see, use, etc.
