Each year, our pastor has been walking our church through individual focus areas of our mission statement. The individual areas become our church-wide, year-long theme.

This year is “The Year of the Disciple: Head, Heart, Hands.”

Here’s our mission statement, bolded with our current year’s emphasis:

Look what God is doing!
He binds us together in fellowship
He brings us together for worship
He builds us up for service
He sends us out with the Good News of Jesus.

I’ve been especially challenged by the theme and focus on discipleship and service.
